We’re excited to welcome you to the family and look forward to watching your Quan$ite™ Hub Site grow. Whether you’re new to blogging and new media, or an old pro, we’re here to help you get the most out of your investment in our system.
Let’s get started! In the following quick videos you’ll get a complete orientation to the e-mails and set up tasks you’ll need to complete when you first join the Quan$ite™ Family! To make sure you get your Hub Site set up on the right foot, you definitely want to watch these few videos before using your site.
One last note: we want to hear from you!
This training area is setup using a blog for a reason — we want your
comments, suggestions and questions as a comment on posts and pages.

Getting Started Video #4: Download and Installing Firefox
We recommend that you use Firefox for a better experience with your Quan$ite admin dashboard. The widely available Internet Explorer (IE) isn’t designed to handle the advanced javascript technologies we use in the admin area. That’s why we recommend that you use Firefox to access your admin dashboard.
PLEASE NOTE: We do work to ensure that on the front end (what your visitors see) is consistent across all platforms but given some of the advanced technologies we have on the back-end (where you go to add blog posts or pages to your hub site), Firefox is by far the superior product and designed to handle javascript code much better than IE can.
Our dashboard makes use of javascript coding that IE is just not capable of handling very well. Firefox is freely available for download and is the recommended browser.

I really liked the get started videos; in particular, they were very helpful because there was good auditory explanations for the pictures I was seeing.
We personally don’t ever use Outlook, however. Can’t mail to to my gmail account? Do you have a video on that?
Thanks for everything,
Melody-Rose
videos here are great and easy to follow.
Thanks Quan Queen ;D

Probably already figured this out, Melody-Rose, but I use the “Forwarders” feature in the C Panel under the “Mail” icon (not the “Email Domain Forwarding”, look further down on the menu).
Then I set up individual forwarders for each e-mail I’ve set up on my domain. Once those are set up, I can go into my Gmail account under settings (upper right hand side of page) and then click on the “Accounts and Import” tab, I choose the “Send mail from another address” option. This will walk you through an identification process to establish your ownership of the domain e-mail. Gmail will send an authorization code to your domain e-mail address.
When you get to that step, simply go back to your Cpanel (I go to the cpanel in a 2nd window so that I can have my Gmail and Cpanel open at the same time)and click on the “Webmail” icon. You’re presented with 3 options. I choose Horde so that’s all I know.
Once in there (if it asks you to sign in it should be the same credentials as your cpanel login)on the left hand side choose the “mail” menu which should open another drop down menu where you would see the e-mail address(es) you’ve set up.
Click on one of the e-mail addresses and the inbox should open. There should be an email from Gmail. Open that and copy and paste the authentication code from the e-mail into the validation step in your Gmail account.
By doing this, I not only have e-mails forwarded to my Gmail but I can send from my gmail using my domain address as well. It works great.
Two things to keep in mind using this process.
First, if you get a lot of e-mails, it’s good to go back into the Horde email portal through your Cpanel every now and again and delete the e-mails that have been forwarded otherwise they eat up domain resources and if it’s full, it won’t forward. I’ve set up a monthly reminder in my Gmail calendar to do just that.
Second, when you send mail through your Gmail account using domain e-mail address, your gmail address will be exposed to whoever you send the e-mail to. There are work around for this and I was worried about it at the beginning but it’s been fine and most people are so used to gmail now it doesn’t really faze them. I think it bothered me more than anyone.
I hope that this was “quanstructional” for you and that I meet up with you on the road to success!
Kevin
Kevin,
That tip was so good! And your explanation was very easy to follow. I have used gmail for a while and never knew you could do that.
Thanks for sharing!
