Importing Articles

From your dashboard, go to “Create” » “Import Articles”
What exactly is “Import Articles”? This is a feature that will truly allow your Quan$ite system to run on auto-pilot. If you already have a number articles that are written and ready to go, and you don’t want to load them with a post-dated timestamp one at a time, this is definitely a useful feature. By zipping all your “text file” based articles into one zip file, you can upload them into this feature, choose the interval between posts, and let it go.
When you’re creating your articles for use with the Import Articles feature, here are some key things to remember:
- Name each text file starting with a number, a “-“, then the article title. If you have 100 articles, your first article should start with the number “001”. This will ensure that the articles are posted in the correct order.
- The first line within the text file should be the article title to keep it consistent throughout all your files.
- Use HTML code within the text file to ensure proper alignment of your article. If you aren’t sure how to write HTML, use a web page editing program such as DreamWeaver.
- Each zipped file of articles must be for the same category.
Now Import Your Articles
- Select the author these articles should be attributed to.
- Assuming you followed the formatting directions above, you’ll check the title box to let the system know the article title is in the first line of each file.
- Assuming that is all that’s in the first line, you’ll leave this set to “0”.
- Set the date that you’d like these articles to start posting.
- Set the time of day you’d like the articles posted.
- How many days between each of these articles should the system wait before posting another one?
- Select the category these articles should be posted under?
- Click browse to search your desktop for the Zip file containing your articles.
- Click on Import Articles.
This is truly one of those features that is Pushbutton Easy in the Quan$ite system. By setting this to run automatically for you, you’re able to do things such as take that well deserved vacation, concentrate on other promotions for your business, or write even more articles to include later

Hey It’s me Elly,
Quick question…
Is there any way to add “tags” into the text file containing the article information?
I’m not sure how it’s going to work because the first line contains the title fo the article…when you are importing it that is.
I’m not sure if there is a html code I can add to it so when it gets parsed the tags will be posted onto the page of the article itself…such as something like this. [tags]…[/tags]
Currently there is not a function to add tags when using the Auto-Article Uploader. You can assign the category though. The feature is designed for the addition of evergreen content so we focused on the category integration first. Will put the tags option on the development list though.
Hello JP,
Thanks for answering my question…I was wondering about the tag function…it would be SEO effective to have this option…as you said you will add this idea to the development list.
JP, just want you to know I think you’re awsome and I believe in my heart of hearts, you’re a living legend…only time will prove this.
Take care,
Elly
