QuanSite members getting the most from this New Media online marketing software are a smart bunch. They know all about the power of online video and how it can create surging streams of qualified and motivated visitors, deepen connection with your followers, advance trust and boost sales. If you’ve got an  eagle-eye you may have already spotted an improvement to the QuanSite Mega Video Blaster module in the past few days.  We’ve made a few changes that will make it even easier for you to market with New Media and engage your Tribe with online video.

Here’s how we’ve made things even better . . .

The QuanSite Mega Video Blaster is Smarter!

Many of you have been actively leveraging video to build your brand, increase rapport and trust, and make more money using your QuanSite software.  If you’re not familiar with the power of the Mega Video Blaster built into the New Media Dominator module, here’s a brief overview:

• Upload your video through your QuanSite Admin panel
• QuanSite takes your uploaded video and  automatically converts it into a universal online format
• Then the QuanSite software automatically creates your branded player on your site
• And the New Media Dominator even automatically syndicates your video to the top 12 video sharing sites at the same time to create more channels of targeted inbound traffic if you like.

The thing is it just wasn’t as fool-proof as it could’ve been. A few of our members ran up against some challenges when trying to use the Mega Video Blaster module.  Many of the errors were minor, stemming from an improper format for your video file name or trying to use an unsupported file type.  And while our Customer Support team would help resolve errors, we decided to add a few new features to the Mega Video Blaster that would help eliminate the frustration some members experienced when using the wrong file type or naming format.

So our crack programming team went to work. We took a look at the two main challenges faced by members when using the Mega Video Blaster module and came up with the solution.  Now you’ll never be faced with an error due to the wrong format for your file name again!  Once you upload a video to your EZ-SEO home page, any blog post, or your Marketing PRO pages using the Mega Video Blaster, your file name will be instantly converted in to the correct naming format.  No need to worry about spaces in your file name, just upload your file and the Mega Video Blaster module takes care of the rest.

But we didn’t stop there . . . we’ve made the system even smarter!

Another common challenge was trying to upload an unsupported file format.  We know how frustrating it can be to upload a file, wait for it to convert, only to find out it failed due to the file being an unsupported video format.

Your Mega Video Blaster module now displays the supported file types right on the same screen where you’ll be uploading your videos.  Plus, if you accidentally upload an unsupported format, the Mega Video Blaster will alert you right away and will not let you proceed with the upload.  Pretty neat, huh?

Keeping those Black Swans at bay . . .

Whenever we release a new feature or make changes to an existing feature, we take a close look at how the entire QuanSite system is running as a whole.  We’ve had a tremendous increase in new members recently and the time has come to restructure our nameservers to proactively anticipate disruptive “Black Swan” events and provide more stability now and as we grow.

In fancy “tech-speak” a nameserver is the server that’s responsible for translation domain names into IP addresses.  So basically, it takes your domain name (eg. BOSSstreet.com) and converts it into the numeric format that’s used by machines, known as an IP address. If your nameserver is down, your site is not accessible. And in the case of a powerful system like QuanSite, that could mean a large number of members sites being inaccessible.

It’s a highly improbable event. But where most companies think the world is full of white swans, I make sure we’re always doing eveything possible to be prepared for those damn Black Swans. (BTW – If you haven’t yet read The Black Swan by Nicholas Taleb, I strongly recommend you do and do it quickly. The entrepreneur who “gets it” has a tremendous advantage in the New Economy.)

If you registered your QuanSite to use with an existing domain (one that you had registered at GoDaddy or Name Cheap or another domain provider), you had to make a change to your domain name servers in order to point them to the QuanSite nameservers when you first registered your account.

In order to improve stability, we’ve made a change to how those nameservers are configured and have added two more to provide even greater stability.

What this means for you

If you purchased a domain at the same time that you placed an order for your QuanSite, you don’t need to change anything.  The change has already been implemented by our technical team.  There’s nothing for you to do.

But — if you designated an existing domain that you registered through GoDaddy, Name Cheap, Enom, etc., to be used with your QuanSite — you will need to log into your domain host (eg. GoDaddy account) and make the following changes to your nameservers.  You must now register four nameservers as follows:

Nameserver 1: ns1.rpmmauka.com
Nameserver 2: ns2.rpmmauka.com
Nameserver 3: ns1.quansite.com
Nameserver 4: ns2.quansite.com

For your site to be running live on the QuanSite software you already have Nameserver 1 and Nameserver 2 set.  All you’ll need to do is ADD Nameserver 3 and Nameserver 4 and save your changes.

Tweet-Connect Enables Auto-Publishing Of Your Blog Posts

Tweet-Connect is an exciting feature we’re happy to introduce to you.  We’ve been fielding member requests for the past few weeks asking for the ability to automatically publish blog posts to your Twitter stream.  Now with Tweet-Connect, you can!

What I love about Tweet-Connect is how easy it is to configure.  Even if you did nothing else on the screen but enter in your Twitter Username and Password, Tweet-Connect goes to work for you.

No messing around with plugins, no FTP hassles, no de-bugging headaches — it’s all been done for you. Just enter in your username and password and you’re done!

Now of course there are a few more options, like selecting the look of the “Tweet This” icon (which makes it pushbutton easy for your visitors to share your blog posts/pages with their followers.) Plus there are a few other things, but as long as you enter your username and password and select “Send to Twitter” defaults to checked on unpublished posts to post all of your blog posts to Twitter, you’re good to go!

TweetMeme Encourages Your Audience To Tweet Posts & Pages in Your QuanSite Optimized Business-Booster Blog

While QuanSite has always had the ability for your readers to share your blog posts, the button was included with all the other Social Buzz buttons. And since Twitter is so popular and such a great source of free traffic we’ve added the TweetMeme connection.

Now you have an attention grabbing retweet button at the top right of your blog content that encourages easy sharing.  And the best part is, you can even access retweet stats and analytics on how many tweets you’ve had in the past 24 hours and even the name of the Tweeter who shared the post!

You can see the little lime green & gray badge that shows in the upper right corner of this post. It’s the same on your QuanSite, done automatically by the system for you.

The TweetMeme settings can accessed in your dashboard under the System >> TweetMeme – Settings link and you can view your stats under the System >> TweetMeme – Analytics link.

“Social Buzz Buttons” Replaces “Sociable”

Have you ever looked at a name and wondered “What does that do?”  We had a few members who would scratch their heads about the Sociable feature. And frankly it’s way to powerful a feature to leave sit idle on your QuanSite.

We’ve renamed “sociable” to “Social Buzz Buttons” and added a couple other new tweaks to the enhance performance of this feature as well. Social Buzz Buttons is where you’ll find a range of icons to include on posts and pages created with your QuanSite Optimized Business Blog Booster.

By adding in buzz buttons for the top social networks (including Twitter, Facebook, Digg and StumbleUpon) you’re giving your readers a simple single-click way to share your blog posts & pages.

Social Buzz Buttons can be found under System >> Social Buzz Buttons.

There is a training video in your Setup Angel that walks you through how to set up this feature.

Thanks to all our members who requested these new features.  It’s due to your feedback and input that we work to continually improve the QuanSite System so that it has the time saving features and most effective Social and New Media auto-connections making it the premier New Media Online Marketing & Site-Building Software System.

We’re currently applying another patch to the system. It contains the following:

1) Addition of Add Link menu item under “System” (it was missing since the upgrade so there was no way to get to this page )

2) Addition of Add a user menu item under “System” for the same reason as above.

3) re-ordering of items under Bonus Materials on the admin dashboard.

4) Edit of 2 emails that had wrong sender name in email sent by the spam karma function

5) Removing “color scheme” option under profile section (because it was not an option that should have been made available ).

The patch name version is 4.0.1.5 if you don’t have this version number indicated in the footer of your QuanSite admin area, please open a help desk ticket.

We’re applying a patch to the system that fixes a few issues:

1) Fixes missing right-hand side widgets not appearing in the create a blog page section

2) Fixes an issue on the Social Bookmarking Robot settings page where if you checked an option, you couldn’t un-check it, it reverted back.

3) Change to default audio player default image

4) Fix missing pages in setup angel.

You’ll know if your site received this patch by looking in the footer of your QuanSite’s admin area, it should read: Quansite – Version: 4.0.1.0

We’re still working on fixing a few other minor issues, keep an eye out for another update soon.

We’re now applying another patch that addresses a number of technical issues. The below issues should be applied to your site within 4 hours of this post, if they’re not please open a help desk ticket.

1) Bug with the Mega Audio Blaster Module – custom preview images weren’t getting added to new audio files
2) Menu links to the Mega Audio Blaster Module returned a permission error
3) Some links under the “Design Center” menu were duplicated with the first set sending users to page that didn’t exist. This second set is removed so that menu is ok now.
4) Central Power Bookmark account function of the Social Bookmarking Robot is now fixed.

There’s only one issue currently remains on our post-upgrade bug list and we should have it fixed by this time tomorrow but if you find anymore, please share them through the help desk.

We’re currently applying a patch that fixes some issues that popped up today. The issues are:

1) The help videos disappeared from the help section after some configuration changes in the system, they’re back now.

2) Some of the functions in the right-hand side widgets on the create a blog post and blog pages area weren’t working, namely; add tags, edit visibility, edit status and edit publish time. These are fixed in the patch that is being applied now (they should be fixed on your site within 4 hours of this post, if they’re not, please open a help desk ticket).

Thanks again for your patience with these upgrade bugs

We’re already going on 4 days since the big upgrade that took place to everyone’s QuanSite and we’re pleased so far that only a handful of issue have been reported and most of them are fixed (details below) and the rest are being actively worked on now and should be fixed by the end of this week. Considering the size of this upgrade (the biggest we’ve experienced so far) the outcome is better than we could have hoped for. Hopefully everyone is enjoying their new QuanSite as much as we loved building it for you.

So here are the issues that have been fixed so far:

1) Issue with some RSS feeds on some sites being broken, this is fixed. If your feed is still broken however, please open a ticket and we’ll get it fixed.

2) Issue with an error being displayed either across the site or in the admin area, this got fixed also.

3) Bug with users, other than the “admin” user not being able to see the full menu or access parts of the admin dashboard. This is fixed in a patch that is being applied system-wide right now, it should be fixed on your site within 4 hours of this post. If it isn’t, please open a ticket to get it fixed.

4) Bug with the “Mega Audio Blaster” module not appearing in the create a blog post or page section. This is also fixed in the same patch that is being applied system-wide.

5) Bug accessing cPanel for about 1/10th of users. This is being fixed as I write this so you should be able to access cPanel using the regular url by the time you read this.

6) Issue with some custom headers disappearing on some sites (this was fixed immediately after it was discovered so not many people might have noticed it but if you did – it’s fixed.)

Remaining issues:
1) Some sites using the central accounts bookmark robot have not been bookmarking since the Quansite.com switch. This is top priority, we hope to have it fixed sometime tomorrow.
2) Some sites are experiencing issues uploading videos by using the Mega Video Blaster module that is included in the home page editor, we’re also hoping to have this fixed with the same patch that will fixed issue 1 above but if it’s not fixed in time, it’ll be included as a second patch afterward.

If you do notice any other issues, please report them through the help desk. Thanks to everyone who has reported issues and also a big thanks to everyone for their patience during this upgrade.

We’re happy to announce that all existing members have been upgraded to the new QuanSite software platform. You’re going to love the new customizable, interactive Admin interface.

Please note the new login URL for your QuanSite Admin panel. Your user names and passwords remain unaffected, but if you use a password storage tool like Roboform, you’ll want to update the login URL.

Be sure to watch the Admin panel orientation videos on your Admin Dashboard (admin home page) in the “Help Angel” area. If you want a more in-depth orientation to the system, you’ll also find the QuanSite Passport video there as well. The Passport video gives you a complete orientation of the functions in the entire QuanSite Admin panel.

For new members – if you’re a new member who signed using one of the pre-launch bonuses packages in the last week, your QuanSite should be installed within the next 24-hours.

Well the last 90-days of programming work is finally coming to it’s grand end. The team will be starting the system-wide upgrade from the old BLOGi360 software to the new improved QuanSite system Saturday morning October 17th.

There is no need for you to do anything special. All of your data is safe and has been backed up in an extra location jsut to be on the super-safe side.

We do suggest that you keep from posting any new content to your QuanSite during the upgrade process to avoid possible loss of that content. We will be notifying you as soon as all sites have been upgraded to the new QuanSite operating system. This work could take up to 24-hours.

We hope you are as excited as we are about this HUGE upgrade of the system. We know you’re going to love the intuitive and customizable admin interface.
